After graduating with Honors from Carnegie Mellon University, Dr. Joshi went on to medical school at St. George's University where he graduated first in his class. He completed his residency in Ophthalmology at the University of South Florida after which he practiced comprehensive ophthalmology. He went on for subspecialty training at the University of Florida to become a vitreoretinal surgeon. After fellowship, he remained in Gainesville to stay on as faculty at the University of Florida. He dedicated his time to Veterans as the Chief of Vitreoretinal Surgery as well as the Ophthalmology Residency site director at the VA Hospital. He has extensively trained many residents as well as retina fellows and was considered to be among the best surgical educators at the University. Dr. Joshi is a Fellow of the American Society of Retina Specialists and President of the Palm Beach Ophthalmology Society.
